Wilson Health Information finds Health Mart #1 in pharmacy customer satisfaction nationally.
NEW HOPE, PA – (BUSINESSWIRE) – June 02, 2008 – Wilson Health Information, a leading consumer insight firm, names Health Mart highest in overall pharmacy customer satisfaction nationally in the 2008 WilsonRx® Pharmacy Satisfaction Survey. The WilsonRx® healthcare survey is the largest of its kind based upon responses received from 34,454 pharmacy customers throughout the United States.
Fred’s Pharmacy placed number one in satisfaction among Chain Drug Stores, Schnuck’s Pharmacy is again the number one food store pharmacy, and there is a four way tie between Kmart, Sam’s Club, Target pharmacy and Shopko among Mass Merchant pharmacies. Prescription Solutions is #1 Mail order pharmacy for the second year and Health Mart is the number one Independent Pharmacy wholesaler cooperative or Franchise.
“We’ve known for years that customers of independently owned pharmacies are more highly satisfied with their pharmacy than customers of all other pharmacy store types. One reason is that customers of independents tend to have a closer relationship with their pharmacists than customers of other store types. Further, cooperative/franchise affiliated pharmacy customers are more highly rated as a group than non-affiliated independent and other store type pharmacies” said third generation pharmacist, Jim Wilson, President of Wilson Health Information.

The study found significant variations among regional, divisional, state and metro market areas. For example, among all pharmacies in the four census regions, Target is #1 overall in the West, Publix in the South, Valu-Rite (McKesson) in Northeast and Leader Drug (Cardinal Drug) in Mid West.
