Independently owned pharmacies rated “most satisfying” in new survey of household shoppers. Wilson Health Information, LLC to announce top rated Chain, Supermarket, Mass Merchandise/Discount and Mail Order Pharmacies as well as top rated Pharmacy Benefit and Health Insurance Plans on July 30th.
NEW HOPE, PA – (PR NEWSWIRE) – July 20, 2001 – For the first time, results will be released from the new 2001 WilsonRx® Pharmacy Survey Reports which allows Pharmacy Executives, Pharmacy Benefit Plan Executives, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Healthcare Marketers to measure and analyze the differences between customers who fill new prescriptions versus those who have their prescriptions refilled. The WilsonRx® Pharmacy Survey covers more than 300 topics and the analytical reports provide information about levels of satisfaction with 40 pharmacy related issues by store type and store. The reports also provide information on 40 different Pharmacy Benefit and Health Insurance Issues as well as the perceptions of care for specific conditions.
The WilsonRx® Pharmacy Survey found that women, between 40 and 70 years of age represented the eighty-seven percent (87%) of the primary household shoppers who filled prescriptions within the past year. Overwhelmingly, they were significantly more satisfied when they filled and refilled their prescriptions at independently owned and operated pharmacies. “These results confirm again that patients who have their prescriptions filled at their local independently owned pharmacy will be the most highly satisfied, more likely to return and more likely to recommend their pharmacy to a friend or relative,” said Jim Wilson, R.Ph., MBA, President of Wilson Health Information, LLC. “The WilsonRx® Pharmacy survey is unique in that it allows us to measure levels of satisfaction with key pharmacy, pharmacy benefit, health insurance and medical treatment issues. Now we can measure how patients rate their care for up to thirty-five conditions such as: Arthritis, Asthma, Cancer, Osteoporosis, Symptoms of Menopause and Weight Loss treatments, and measure how satisfied they were with their pharmacy, pharmacy benefit, health insurance, physicians, hospitals and overall medical treatment.”
