Our History
Jim
Wilson is the president of Wilson Health Information. He is a third generation
pharmacist who received his pharmacy degree and MBA from Temple University in
Philadelphia, PA. His grandfather, John H. Wilson, a chemist, graduated in 1910
from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and owned Wilson’s Drug Store
in Centralia, PA.
Due to John’s illness, His wife (Jim’s grandmother), Madeline Wilson, took over the family business in 1934, first as an assistant pharmacist, then later as a registered pharmacist in 1938. His father, William J. Wilson, owned Wilson’s Pharmacy in Linglestown, PA from 1952 to 1986 after his graduation from Temple University and a career with Rexall Drug in Harrisburg, PA.
Two uncles, Hugh Wilson and James Wilson (deceased), graduates of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, were employed by, and retired from Abbott Laboratories. Jim’s cousins, Hugh Wilson, Jr. a Doctor of Pharmacy, was a professor at PCPS and is now employed at a major pharmaceutical company. Andrew Wilson and his wife are employed as a retail pharmacists. Jim’s two brothers, Robert A. Wilson and William J. Wilson, Jr. and his sister, Barbara A. Wilson are also actively practicing pharmacists in retail, long-term care, hospital and consulting pharmacy.
